HaPpY HallOwEen

Hope everyone is enjoying this Fun Holiday and taking a little break from creating! I love being involved in Blog Land the creations you talented people have are great!
Shop Update:
I’ve had so much fun trying to do some more Halloween carvings this year and to get in mood I’ve added some fun to the shop! I’m in hopes by next year to spend some time in the shop just painting the walls and making it a fun place to be. It is just hard to be in the shop and not play!
The pic’s below are in the paint room!
This is the left over mess from doing Halloween!
My parents gave me this sign and it is exactly that Play House
Halloween left over ….sometime I’ll finish the carving and maybe even paint it.
Of course this is my favorite sign and is soooo true.
Now in the wood shop area this is my Grandmother’s Kitchen Cupboard that I’ve saved for along time and found the perfect spot for! She was the Queen of all Holidays so it just seems fitting to put my unpainted carvings in.
This is what was taped inside….my Grandparents farmed and Grandma could bake like no other.

Thank you for taking the time to read and look at this long posting! You guys out in Blog Land inspire me everyday with your posts.

Just lisa

This Monkey is just silly I purchased at an auction!

October Pfatt - I’m going to catch you

Halloween is soooo much FuN to make! I made Raven Fred awhile back and had no idea what to do with him. He looked evil just carved and no paint, so I painted him up and that changed his looks to maybe being silly! Now what's he going to be doing?

Haggie and Raven Fred are out again pestering the Pumpkin Spirits. It seems they never get bored of this tradition the night of Halloween! Of course the Pumpkin Spirit is trying to catch those two pestering pranksters. Will he ever get this done? (He’s been trying for the last 100 years)

That's it for now! "HaPpY Halloween ;]"

Ya Wanna Dance - Halloween Wood Carving

It's almost time for the Sept Release for Pfatt Market Place!

I've been working on this 2 point cypress knee carving for almost a year and it's done! The Knee was easy to see a witch and frankie but to carve it was whole different story.

I've never worked with a cypress knee so tough and full of knots and grain going in all different directions. It was a challenge and I hope never to have another one again like this. I thought about taking this knee and seeing if I could hit the trash can with it from my carving table a couple times! (OK alot of times)

Hope you enjoyed the carving and I enjoy it being done and not in the trash can :)

Happy Fall to all!

New Pfatt for July and New Ornies

Happy Summer to ya all!

This is what I've been up to since early spring....playing with game pieces! It all started by going to an auction with my Hubby and I got board and started to look around and ran across some dominos and well I brought them home with me. But, the dominos occupied my time by thinking what I could do with them and this is some of the 31 designs I came up with.

Now as time passed I found more game pieces and stuff so more stuff was made!
This was my stopping point after 31 pieces and OH MY did I have fun till it came time to get them ready...like taking Pictures and the write ups...Here is an example of taking to many pictures all at once!
Will I ever make this much and not do pictures and write ups? I hope not!

If you want to see all them just visit my Etsy Shop or go to PFATT WEBSITE to see Fast Jack!

New Pfatt Stuff - Happy Summer

How's it going ya all? I'm enjoying the weather and the air conditioning!

Got some new stuff for Pfatt June Release, it's all about the 4th of July done with who else but Uncle Sam and I thought about Halloween, Christmas. So, Jack Pumpkin and Santa got involved too!

Halloween is too much fun, this is about my second year of playing with Halloween and I just can't seem to quit...fun FUN fun.

Of course, still my favorite is Christmas and the Big Guy...Santa!

Well this is it for now and hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying the Summer.

Spring is here!

We finally got a picture of our first calf for the spring of 2011!
Our First Calf for the Spring of 2011

So for the next month or so we will be checking cattle at least twice a day! It reminds me of Easter ... you never know what you'll find or where...then what color will the calves be!
Pearl and her calf Earl!

This is another new calf that was still long enough for me to take a picture!

OK...last year we had a war over the ponds by 2 sets of geese and this year the same!
I have never seen a goose walking around on a tree limb like they were on the ground...to funny!

Spring is here and I'm finding it hard to stay in the shop to get stuff done!

The New Girls of 2011

We brought home the Girls on Sunday right as the rain started freeze .... soooo lucky! By the time we got the pen set up for them the ice was forming on the fences and the ground was crunchy.

This morning they decided it was time for a drink so all 3 went together and for the rest of the day (Monday) the group traveled together! They will calve sometime between March and April, I can't wait to see! The girls names by the paper work are Georgia, Layla, Prickly Pear (her new unoffical name is Pearl and she says THANK YOU!).
Well that's the big news for the week and hope you all have a great and fun week!
